Godspell is a musical based on the teachings and parables of Jesus, told through music, humor, and a group of very different people. In the production at Siena Heights University, each character represented a different occupation and walk of life, while Jesus was portrayed as a homeless man who brought the group together. Through their experiences, the characters learned to look past their differences and become a community.

About the Production

Godspell at Siena Heights University was a unique production experience that brought together a diverse cast and a fresh approach to the musical. The production was directed by a member of the revival touring cast of Godspell, allowing the cast to work directly with someone with professional experience in the show. The cast and crew also adapted the production to update references within the parables and make them more relevant to a modern audience.
